In consideration of our narrow streets, to allow for ingress and egress of residents, guests, mail/package delivery carriers, and emergency vehicles, the Board of Trustees has decided to enforce the following parking policy in accordance with the Bentley Court Condominium By-Laws, Article III, Section 2f (found in Vol 1682 Page 162, see below*).
* “(f.) Vehicles. The Board may promulgate regulations permitting, upon satisfactory conditions, the parking of automobiles, inoperable vehicles, trucks, boats and recreational vehicles on the Common Areas and Limited Common Areas, and may enforce such regulations or restrictions by levying fines, having such vehicles towed away, or taking such other action as it, in its sole discretion deems appropriate. Without promulgation of such regulations the parking of inoperable vehicles, recreational vehicles, boats, and trucks shall not be permitted.”
Please note that the previous is a permanent addition to the regulations of Bentley Court and should be added to your welcome packet.
- Unit occupants (owners and long-term guests) must park in the garage or driveway of the unit
- Street parking is permitted for short-term use ONLY if driveway space is unavailable
- Overnight parking on streets is strictly forbidden
- Any vehicles parked on the street must park on the side opposite the mailboxes to allow for traffic to safely pass the parked vehicles and for unobstructed mail delivery
- On the portion of Bentley St with mailboxes on both sides, please avoid blocking any individual mailbox and, if there is already a vehicle parked on the street, park on the same side
- Please avoid parking on the grass to avoid damage to the lawns and to allow for mowing to take place unobstructed
- The Board may, at its discretion, choose to issue fines to violators of these regulations.
- $75 for the first infraction
- $100 for the second infraction
- $150 for the third infraction
